margarine | 1 | cup | | light brown sugar | 1 1/2 | cups | toasted almonds | 0.7 | cups coarse chopped | | Hershey bars | 4 | 1oz bar |

Directions:
Combine margarine & sugar in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture becomes a full boil. Do not burn. Continue to boil until mixture reaches 300 degrees with candy thermometer. Remove from heat and quickly stir in coarsely chopped nuts. Pour into a greased 9 X 13 pan. Place pieces of Hershey bars over top as chocolate softens, spread evenly with a spatula. Immediately sprinkle finely chopped almonds on top and lightly press into chocolate. Cool until completely hardened. Break toffee into irregular pieces.
