Prevent Screen Timeout: 69: Barbecue Sauce; Source: Aunt Dot onions chopped fine 2 medium garlic cloves chopped 2 parsley (fresh) 1/4 cup Shortening 4 tbs salt 1 1/2 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp sugar 2 tbs dry mustard 2 tsp paprika 2 tsp Chili Sauce 8 oz vinegar 1/2 cup water 1 1/2 cup Worcestershire 3 tbs Hot Sauce 1 tsp green onions chopped 1/2 cup grape jelly 16 oz Directions: Chop all onions, garlic and parsley. Then heat shortening in Saucepan and cook onions, garlic a few minutes, or until golden. Add all the other ingredients including parsley, to the onion mixture; give it a good turn, cover and cook over a very low heat about an hour. Finally add grape jelly.
