92: Stuffed Peppers; Source: Aunt Dot

green bell pepper10 ground beef2lbs
ham seasoning3/4lb chopped onion2chopped
garlic cloves chopped crushed3toes bell pepper1chopped
celery1/2cup chopped parmesan cheese1cup
american cheese1cup Italian bread crumbs2cups
Whole tomatoes2cans sugar1tsp

Directions:
Par boil peppers till soft. Let cool. Brown ground meat and then add ham seasoning, onions,garlic,pepper, celery, and parsley.

Stir till mixed and then add bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and American cheese. Let simmer and then add tomatoes and sprinkle sugar.

Stir well and simmer a little longer. Stuff pepper and sprinkle American cheese on top & place in pan with a little water to cover bottom of pan. Bake 30 Minutes at 375 degree oven.

I also make a casserole with this recipe but I do not need 10 peppers but use about 4 and I will cut and clean my peppers and put them in the microwave with a 1/4 cup water and steam till soft about 6 minutes. And let cool.

Then I cut them in strips and lined a baking pan with the strips and then place my ground meat mixture over that and sprinkle with cheeses and bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
